Dr. Ann Novosel, MD, FAAP
Dr. Novosel joined the Lawrence Pediatrics team in January 2021. She grew up in Tonganoxie and went to the University of Kansas for both undergraduate and medical school. She then completed residency at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is a board-certified pediatrician. Dr. Novosel chose to be a primary care pediatrician because she loves teaching her patients about healthy living and building relationships with families over time to provide effective and individualized care. Kansas has always been home, and she is so excited to fulfill a long-time dream of living and practicing in Lawrence.
Dr. Novosel is married, has a preschool-aged boy, toddler girl, baby boy, and a black lab dog. In her very rare free time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, crafting, and rooting on the KC Current and KU Jayhawks.
Dr. Kristen Jacobs, MD, FAAP
Dr. Jacobs joined the Lawrence Pediatrics team in April 2015. After deciding she wanted to become a doctor while still in kindergarten, she completed medical school and residency at the University of California, San Francisco and has practiced pediatrics in Kansas City, Missouri. Her medical interests include asthma, obesity, and the effects of sleep on overall health.
Dr. Jacobs also has a degree in Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania. She has two "furkids", a dog named Skye and a cat named Cleo, who were both rescues from the animal shelter. In her free time, Dr. Jacobs enjoys gardening, reading, traveling, and spending time with her nephew.
Dr. Malani Kuiper, MD, FAAP
Dr. Kuiper is a board-certified pediatrician who has worked at Lawrence Pediatrics since November 2016. Dr. Kuiper has a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Kansas and attended medical school at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. She completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Iowa. After residency, she served as Chief Resident at the University of Iowa. She has worked in private pediatrics practices in Salina and Leawood prior to moving to Lawrence. She enjoys treating a variety of childhood illnesses, interacting with healthy children at their well-child checks, and getting to know their families. Dr. Kuiper is married with two busy school-aged children.
Gretchen Wells, APRN
Gretchen joined the Lawrence Pediatrics team in May 2020. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Southwestern College, in her hometown of Winfield, Kansas. She obtained her Master's of Science in Nursing in 2010. As a registered nurse, Gretchen worked in the ICU/trauma units and the emergency department. She moved to pediatrics after earning her APRN, and she has worked in pediatrics for nine years.
Gretchen grew up in a family of healthcare workers, where her interest blossomed at a young age. Gretchen has three children and two dogs, and she has lived in the Lawrence area off and on since attending the University of Kansas in 1990. She enjoys crafting, spending time outdoors with friends and family, kayaking, and playing sports. Gretchen believes she is definitely a kid at heart and realizes she found her calling working in pediatrics.
Cathy, RN, Office Administrator
Cathy has worked in the nursing field since 2006 and at Lawrence Pediatrics since opening day. She is married with two sons, two dogs, and a cat. Before kids, she enjoyed playing softball, kickboxing, and spending time with friends and family. Now she enjoys watching her boys play sports, no sleep, and daily victories like not missing the school bus.
Lauren, RN, Nurse Lead
Lawrence Native, Lauren, graduated with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Washburn University in 2016 and came straight to work at Lawrence Peds. She is married to her Jr High sweetheart, has a toddler boy and a baby girl, one dog, and three cats. In her previous life she enjoyed Pure Barre, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. Now she enjoys every single moment of mom life.
Taylor, Front Desk Lead
Taylor joined Lawrence Pediatrics in 2019 and works hard to keep our front desk running smoothly, including making sure we have the exact sticker each child is looking for. She's pursuing an education degree, with interests in history and sociology. Taylor is a true animal lover and currently shares her home with 5 cats.
Ashley, RN
Ashley has been a nurse since 2009, after obtaining a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from Baker University. She lives in Lawrence with her husband and three children, and in her free time, enjoys running, kickboxing, cooking, and reading.
Ashley is a Certified Lactation Educator and a Certified Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).
Chasley, MA
I’m originally from Oskaloosa, Iowa, and moved to Lawrence to attend the University of Kansas, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology in May 2025. I’m currently working toward attending medical school to continue pursuing my passion for healthcare. In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and going on walks.
Morgan, MA
"Hi! My name is Morgan and I am a current senior at KU studying Behavioral Neuroscience. I have hopes to attend medical school after graduation and my primary interests are in Pediatrics! I enjoy spending time outside, traveling, and exercising."
Sienna, MA
Sienna is from St. Louis, Missouri and is currently a nursing student at The University of Kansas. She’s set to graduate in May of 2026 and hopes to begin her career in the ICU. She loves working with kids and plans to apply to Nurse Anesthesia school in the future. In her free time, Sienna enjoys working out, reading, traveling, and spending time with family.
Abigail, RN
Abi has been a nurse since 2024 after graduating from Brigham Young University-Idaho with her BSN. She worked as a home health nurse in her home state of Idaho before joining our pediatric team. She loves working with kids and can’t wait to be a mom one day. In her free time she loves spending time outdoors–especially hiking in the mountains when she can, as well as playing pickleball and games with her family.
Chessica, RN
Chessica joined the Lawrence Pediatrics team in 2021. She is married to her high school sweetheart whom she shares three kids with. Chessica enjoys attending concerts, fishing, and cheering for her favorite athletic teams, especially the Oklahoma Sooners. From newborns to young adults, Chessica loves caring for our patients and bringing humor and sunshine to our office.
Jenn, RN
Jenn has been a Registered Nurse since 2020. Prior to pursuing nursing Jenn taught preschool for 10 years. She loves being around kids of all ages and has three of her own, as well as 2 cats. In her free time she loves to read, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.
Moriah, MA
Moriah is from Hugoton, Kansas, and moved to Lawrence to attend the University of Kansas—Rock Chalk Jayhawk! She graduated in May 2025 with a degree in Biology and a minor in Nutrition. Right now, she's taking a gap year before starting medical school, where she plans to become a pediatrician. In her free time, Moriah loves working out, hanging out with friends and family, and trying out new recipes.
Alivia Davidson, MA
Liv is a student at the University of Kansas but originally from Omaha, Nebraska! She is studying to receive her Bachelor's of Arts and Sciences in Molecular Biology. After graduating in May of 2027, she is planning to attend medical school to become a surgeon. Liv loves to ride horses, watch movies with friends, and travel!
Emily, MA
Emily is originally from Omaha, Nebraska, and moved to Lawrence in 2021 to attend the University of Kansas. She graduated from KU in May of 2025 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience. Emily plans to attend medical school in the coming years and hopes to pursue a career in pediatrics. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going shopping, and cooking.

“Hi! I’m Jessica, and I am originally from Manhattan, KS but moved to Lawrence to attend the University of Kansas. I’m on track to graduate in May 2027 with a Bachelor’s in Human Biology. I’m on the pre-medicine track and am hoping to go to medical school, but I’m not quite sure about a specialty yet. In my free time, I love to play tennis, hang out with friends, and spend time with my cat, Waffles!"
Myah, Front Desk
Myah joined our team in March 2025. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog Harold, Myah also enjoys cheering on the Chiefs and Celtics or going to the movies. She also loves getting lost in a good book and going for long walks.

Chandler has been a nurse since 2020 and joined the Lawrence Pediatrics team in February 2022. In her free time Chandler loves spending time outdoors with her husband, son and family
Jennifer, Front Desk
Originally from Florida and after a stop in Michigan, Jennifer has called Lawrence home for the last 18 years. She enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with friends whether it be watching the Chiefs and Jayhawks or trying out the newest restaurant. Her three cats keep her entertained when she gets to relax at home while reading one of many books.
Kaylee, MA
I am from Basehor, Kansas and moved to Lawrence to attend the University of Kansas. I will graduate from KU in December 2025 with a Bachelors of Exercise Science and a Minor in Nutrition. Following graduation I plan to get my Masters in Athletic Training and become an Athletic trainer in the NFL. In my free time I enjoy shopping, being with my family and friends, and watching football and basketball.
Paige, RN
Paige began her nursing career in 2023 after earning her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Pittsburg State University. She spent two years caring for newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit before joining Lawrence Pediatrics. Currently, Paige is advancing her education as a Nurse Practitioner student at Maryville University, with plans to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Outside of work, Paige enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Gus. She is happiest outdoors, loves shopping, and is an avid fan of reality television.
Jennifer H, IT Manager
Jennifer has worked in Pediatrics for over 20 years. She spent the majority of those years working as a nurse before moving to managing the EHR and computer systems.
While she misses working directly with children, she's passionate about technological advances, like patient portals, that help our parents and patients have more control over their own health care and medical decision making.
